Outstanding repertoire for Black 1.e4 e5

The repertoire centers on three chapters on the Two Knights' Defense (no Giuoco Piano). Against King's Gambit he accepts and plays 3...Nf6. Of course it covers the other open games such as the Scotch (three chapters), Vienna etc. I never heard of the author before. I like his selection of variations and his writing style. I actually prefer this book slightly to Bologan's Black Weapons (superb) and Marin's Beating the Open Games (outstanding). I frequently compare Lokander and Bologan.

He studied Computer Science with Mathematics as a subsidiary subject and earned his diploma degree at the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel. He specializes in enterprise grade frontend and backend development with a current focus on building a financial risk services platform. Daniel has been developing software for over 25 years, thereof, 15 years professionally. He started to program at the age of 11. not enough

Ok half the cost but this is really a pamphlet,minor half a book. Furthermore, it barely goes into anything beyond the utterly elementary level. The docs and sample code are much better than this and they are free.

Have bought all three books in the series and like each and every one

This series of History books, which is used also by K12 online schools, is very well written and does not seem to be biased on either side of the fence, progressive or conservative, as a number of other History books seem to be. I was a little wary at first because of the Common Core influence being incorporated into so many textbooks these days, but they present just the facts and leave it to the student to decide which way they want to interpret the information. Have bought all three books in the series and like each and every one.

The VBA programming environment comes with Excel and greatly enhances the capabilities of Excel spreadsheets. While there is no perfect programming system, teaching this combination offers knowledge in a widely available program that is commonly used (Excel) as well as a popular academic software package (MATLAB). Chapters cover nonlinear equations, Visual Basic, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, regression analysis, partial differential equations, and mathematical programming methods.

Each chapter contains examples that show in detail how a particular numerical method or programming methodology can be implemented in Excel and/or VBA (or MATLAB in chapter 10). Most of the examples and problems presented in the text are related to chemical and biomolecular engineering and cover a broad range of application areas including thermodynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transfer, reaction kinetics, reactor design, process design, and process control. The chapters feature "Did You Know" boxes, used to remind readers of Excel features. They also contain end-of-chapter exercises, with solutions provided.

About the Author

Victor J. Law, Ph.D., FAIChE, FIChemE, CE, initiated a program that was to become the Department of Computer Science at Tulane. During his tenure in computer science, he wrote two textbooks on introductory computer programming. In 1988, Dr. Law returned to the Chemical Engineering Department in order to resume his research career. He has taught classes in process control, transport phenomena, process design, engineering statistics, and numerical methods for chemical engineers. His research has included projects in coastal erosion, methane emissions from rice paddies, thermochemical processes for hydrogen production from water, and butanol production from biomass. Dr. Law is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers; a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers; a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom and Europe; and a Registered Professional Engineer, State of Louisiana.

Excellent companion text, or reference for the working engineer

A little short on the theory behind numerical methods, but a very good reference for the working engineer who's got the background already. In fact, this is exactly what I'd want my notes to look like after a solid course on numerical methods (if I had the willpower to take great, detailed notes, that is.) The emphasis on Excel as opposed to traditional programming languages fits nicely with today's work environment.

Raw and real, deep and honest. Madi's courage to come clean about the difficult times in her life can offer inspiration to us all and serve as a reminder that we're not alone after all.

very truthful and soothing style of writing

What's I truly liked about Madison's writing is that I felt she truly expressed all the thoughts, feelings and confusions that go through my head every day.. The book made me feel like I'm not alone out there.. It's a very inspiring read to those who feel a little lost in their lives.
