Best book I've read all year!!

This is an amazing book for any chef or anyone interested in the food business! I've read many chef biographies but this book is different because each chef interviewed here gives their personal stories that helped them become who they are today and what they've learned along the way. The way it's written, it's like you're sitting and chatting with them. There is a lot of interesting information about the origins of foods we know today. These chefs have studied and worked all over the world so each one has a unique view on the history and future of what we eat and enjoy.
Best book I've read all year...... 5 stars to Saori!!!!!

This book presents a rare opportunity to listen to the very personal stories of 22 accomplished and passionate chefs immersed in the fascinating world of Japanese culinary arts. To me, each unique interview covered highlights of an arduous journey about deep caring for Japanese cultural standards of high quality within this exacting profession. At the same time the content of the conversations was easily accessible and relevant to a wide range of readers –from culinary students to weekend home chefs to established professionals.—and even to a very occasional cook like myself who loves great food and is just intrigued by why people do what they do. Throughly enjoyable and enlightening.

I love the stories and journey's of all the culinary masters in this new book of Japanese Food Culture - it is a wealth of knowledge. Both my wife and me are foodie's and love to cook different cultures. What really caught my interest is the blend of Japanese and French cultures - cannot wait to try these fusions. I just lost 30 pounds and learning to eat healthy and with understanding is of primary interest to me. This book gave me answers to healthy eating and exquisite cuisine, a rare combination! - Exactly what I was looking for!
If you have never read Don Gabor's books on building relationships I suggest you do! Don changed my life 30 years ago when I read his best seller "How To Start A Conversation and Make Friends." This defining read started my journey on building companies and living a lifestyle most people dream about. I highly recommend this book to food culture enthusiast and to anyone wanting to improve their health with clean gourmet eating.
